Names like José Mário Branco, Fernando Tordo, Rui Veloso, Rui Pragal da Cunha, Katia Guerreiro, Dany Silva and Júlio Resende, among many others, are part of his records.
After “The Key”, “Mirror”, “Don’t be afraid of the dark” and “4.0”, “O Bandstand” is born.
“O Coreto” is a conceptual album, with music by Rogério Charraz, lyrics by José Fialho Gouveia, and production by Luisa Sobral. There are 13 songs that travel between urban Portuguese music and its more traditional roots, and that take us to know the love story of the city dweller Sebastião and the villager Ana.
They fall in love next to the bandstand with a lemon kiss, and between the lines we find a portrait of the asymmetries between the city and the countryside, the inner dilemmas of those who leave and those who stay.
With this project, the central role of bandstands in the cultural life of cities, towns and villages in Portugal is recovered.
